How the GetMyIVM Process Works, Step by Step

If you have never used a telehealth service, it helps to know exactly what is coming. Here is the GetMyIVM process from start to finish. The whole intake takes about 10 minutes, and most physician reviews are completed within 4 hours.

Step 1: Choose a medication and start

From any product page, or from Start, pick the medication you want a physician to consider. The intake first checks that you are 18 or older and physically located in a state we serve. If your state is not served, you can join the waitlist instead.

Step 2: Answer the health questions

This is the longest step, about 10 minutes. The questionnaire asks why you are requesting a review, what medications you take, your medical history, allergies, pregnancy status, and a few safety questions specific to the medication. Answer completely. The physician's decision is only as good as the information you give them. You can save your place and come back if you need to.

Step 3: Your details

Your legal name, date of birth, the state you are in, contact information, and the shipping address. Identity matters here: a physician can only prescribe for the person they reviewed, in a state where they are licensed.

Step 4: Consent

You read and accept the telehealth consent, the privacy notice, and the terms of service. The consent explains how telehealth differs from an in-person visit and confirms that any prescription decision rests with a licensed physician after your informed consent.

Step 5: Payment

You enter a card. We place an authorization, a hold, for the all-in amount shown. Your card is not charged at this step. If the physician later declines, the hold is released and you pay nothing. Details are in How pricing and the card hold work.

Step 6: Confirmation

You get a confirmation screen and an email, plus access to your patient portal. The portal is where messages from your physician arrive, so keep an eye on it.

Step 7: Physician review

A licensed physician reads your questionnaire, your medication list, and your history. Most reviews finish within 4 hours. The physician may message you with a question, and in Delaware, Georgia, Kansas, Missouri, Rhode Island, and West Virginia state law requires a brief live phone or video visit first; you pick a time that works for you.

Step 8: The decision

If the physician approves, your card is charged for the amount shown at checkout and the prescription is transmitted to a licensed pharmacy. If the physician decides a prescription is not appropriate for you, they explain why in your portal, and you are not charged.

Step 9: The pharmacy prepares and ships

A licensed pharmacy prepares or dispenses your medication and ships it discreetly to the address you gave. Compounded medications are made for you after the prescription arrives, so allow time for preparation plus transit. The pharmacy label and your physician's instructions tell you how to take it.

After delivery

Your portal stays open. If you have a question or notice a side effect, message your physician there. For another supply, start a new request; every order is reviewed by a physician.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an appointment? Only if your state requires a live visit. Everywhere else, the review happens without a scheduled call.

Can I stop partway through? Yes. Nothing is charged until a physician approves, and you can cancel before a decision by emailing support.

How long from start to delivery? About 10 minutes for intake, usually under 4 hours for review, then pharmacy preparation and shipping.

What if I have questions once the medication arrives? Message your physician through the portal. For an emergency, call 911.
