How Pricing and the Card Hold Work

Telehealth pricing is often a maze of consult fees, membership charges, and separate pharmacy bills. GetMyIVM is deliberately simpler. This article walks through what you see on the pricing page, what happens to your card at checkout, and what happens afterward.

One all-in price

Every price on GetMyIVM is a single, per-order amount. It includes the licensed physician review, the medication if a prescription is approved, and shipping. There is no separate consultation fee, no membership, and no subscription. You are charged only when you place an order, and only if a physician approves it.

The price depends on the medication and the quantity you select (for most medications, a 30, 60, or 90 count). The amount shown at checkout is the amount that is ever charged.

What happens to your card at checkout

When you finish the questionnaire and enter your card, we place an authorization for the order amount. Your card issuer sets that money aside, and it may appear on your statement as "pending," but it is not a charge. Nothing moves until a physician makes a decision.

If the physician approves

The authorization is captured for the amount shown at checkout, and the prescription is sent to a licensed pharmacy. The pending line on your statement becomes a completed charge. You receive a receipt by email.

If the physician declines

The authorization is released and you are not charged, including for the physician's time. Card issuers typically remove the pending amount within 3 to 5 business days; the timing is theirs, not ours.

If review takes longer than the hold lasts

Card issuers only hold an authorization for a limited window. If a review runs past it, for example because your state requires a scheduled live visit, we securely save your payment method with our payment processor and charge it only when a physician approves, for the same amount shown at checkout. Nothing is charged if the physician declines.

Cancellations and refunds

  • Before a physician decision: cancel any time by emailing support from the address on your account. The hold is released; nothing is charged.
  • After approval, before the pharmacy prepares your medication: contact support immediately and we will cancel and refund in full if the pharmacy has not started.
  • After dispensing: compounded medications are prepared specifically for you and, by law, cannot be returned to a pharmacy or resold. Once dispensed, an order cannot be cancelled or refunded.
  • If we cannot fulfill an approved order after you have been charged, you receive a full refund. If an order arrives damaged or incorrect, contact support within 7 days of delivery.

The complete policy is our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which is part of the Terms of Service.

Using your own pharmacy

You always have the right to have a prescription sent to a pharmacy of your choice. If you do, you are not charged for medication fulfillment through GetMyIVM, and you pay your pharmacy directly.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I see a pending charge if I have not been approved yet? That is the authorization. It is a hold, not a charge, and it is released if the physician declines.

Is there a consultation fee if I am declined? No. If a physician decides a prescription is not appropriate for you, you pay nothing.

Will I be billed again next month? No. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges. Each order is a separate request and a separate physician review.

Can I get a refund after my medication ships? Not for dispensed compounded medication, because it was prepared for you and cannot be reused. If the order arrives damaged or incorrect, contact support within 7 days.
