GetMyIVM connects adults in most U.S. states with a licensed physician who reviews a health history and decides whether a prescription is appropriate. That decision is the physician's alone. But there are a few requirements you can check for yourself before you start.
The basic requirements
- You are 18 or older. This is an adults-only service. The questionnaire asks for your date of birth and will not continue for anyone under 18.
- You are physically located in a state we serve. What matters is where you are when you complete the request and receive care, not your billing address.
- You are requesting care for yourself. We cannot see children, and you cannot complete a request on behalf of a spouse, parent, or friend. Each adult needs their own account and their own review.
- You can answer the health questions honestly and completely. The physician's decision rests on what you tell them. Leaving out a medication or a condition does not help you; it only makes a safe decision harder.
Which states we serve
We currently serve most U.S. states and the District of Columbia. We do not currently offer services in Alabama, Alaska, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Jersey, New Mexico, or Washington.
A few served states require a brief live visit before a physician can prescribe. In Delaware, Georgia, Kansas, Missouri, Rhode Island, and West Virginia, you will pick a time after intake and your physician will call you or connect by secure video, depending on your state's rules. Some states also restrict specific compounded medications: in Florida, for example, compounded ivermectin cannot be prescribed through telehealth. The intake shows you exactly what is available where you are.
State rules change. The live list is always on our Jurisdictions page, and the intake checks your state before you enter any health information.
What can disqualify a request
Meeting the requirements above makes you eligible to be reviewed. It does not mean a prescription will be approved. A licensed physician may decline when:
- your medications, allergies, or medical history lead the physician to conclude a medication is not safe or appropriate for you;
- your answers are incomplete or do not match the identity and state you provided;
- the request is really for someone else;
- you describe symptoms that need in-person or emergency care. Telehealth is the wrong place for an emergency. If you are having one, call 911.
If the physician declines, you are not charged, and the physician explains the reasoning in your patient portal.
If your state is not served yet
You can leave your email on the state waitlist from the intake page. There is no charge and no obligation. If we open your state, we will let you know. Please do not use a friend's address in another state; a physician can only care for you where you actually are.
Frequently asked questions
Does my mailing address or my current location decide eligibility? Your physical location at the time of the request. Medication can only ship to an address in a state we serve.
Can I complete a request for my spouse or my child? No. We see adults only, and each adult must complete their own questionnaire and consent.
Do I need an existing diagnosis to be eligible? No. The questionnaire asks why you are requesting a review and lets you explain in your own words. Whether any prescription is appropriate is decided solely by the physician.
What if I travel often? Complete the request from a state we serve, and have the medication shipped to an address in that state.
